This painting was inspired by a place I used to call my second home, The Lot.
As a young art delinquent, I used to host campfire parties there and even built a tent out of sheets. We ate chili over the fire at The Lot, we slept at The Lot, and we made many friends at The Lot.
The Lot may be gone but has left me with a passion for connecting people, no matter what background we all have. It was a level playing field where everyone could be themselves and make friends to last a lifetime.
In this picture, you see the beans spilled, the chili cooked, and the cowboy with his gun ready at a stance for whatever life has yet to throw at them.
